We had a call from a customer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was looking to have ceramic tile installed in his foyer. The problem that our customer was experiencing was his ceramic tile wasn’t that old, only around six months old. He had hired another flooring company to install the ceramic tile, but six months later the tile has become loose and coming up from the flooring. The foyer is the entryway to his home, and our customer was concerned about someone falling or tripping when they entered. We sent out two of our flooring team to evaluate his floor. The team looked over his floor and current ceramic tile, then advised him that the tile was applied with the wrong type of adhesive, and it is caused the flooring to lift up. The team determined that they could salvage all of his current tiles, remove the adhesive, clean up the area, then re-install the new tile and grout. By doing this we were able to save him hundreds of dollars. The team wrote up an estimate and scheduled the ceramic tile installation for Saturday, which our customer selected. On Saturday morning, a team arrived at his home on time and ready to work. Several hours later, the flooring was removed, then reinstalled. The project was done ahead of schedule and on budget.
